Bath & Body Works Fall Mini Candle

Thanks to Influenster’s VoxBox program I have the pleasure to review the Slatkin & Co. pumpkin cupcake candle today.
First impressions? MMMM

The scent of this candle is more on the cupcake side but the pumpkin spice scents I love are there. It's an AMAZING balance of the two. The spice is not bold on cinnamon or clove. The cupcake portion is a great buttery vanilla without falling into your typical French Vanilla scent.

I am SO impressed. My candle is small. I've burned it once for a few hours and it scented my large living room quite well.
Now I leave it sitting on a desk and smell it, without lighting, all day long. The scent, unlit, is so nice that I have not lit it again since that very first burn.

BUT, the downside to this? I can't find it on the Bath and Body Works website (http://www.bathandbodyworks.com)  now. I think it must be a limited edition scent. I will have to seek it out in the stores. If you find this one grab it up. It's lovely!

TruvĂa® natural sweetener Product Review

Isn't Influenster the best? What?! You haven't heard of them? You should definitely check them out!
Thanks to their absolutely fabulous Voxbox program I was given a box of Truvia for testing and review.

I'm not a big fan of sweeteners so I wasn't expecting to like Truvia. I am happy to say I was pleasantly surprised! I used it in some tea and enjoyed it thoroughly. AND it really did only take one packet. In fact, my tea was almost too sweet. I didn't notice an after taste either.

The best part about Truvia is you can find some great recipes on their website: www.truvia.com  They even have cocktails listed. How cool is that?

Venus & Olay Razor-Where's the moisture?

Thanks to Influenster's Voxbox program I've been given the chance to test out the new Gillette Venus and Olay razor.
Gillette's website says "Olay Moisture Bars release skin conditioners to help lock in moisture and boost your shave* while 5 blades get Venus close." The * leads you to read on that there is less dryness over time compared to Venus Breeze over time. I have to admit this threw me off a bit. I tested the product expecting more moisture in an instant. I didn't find my legs to be any more moisturized than normal. But, to be fair, I haven't used the Breeze to compare the difference between the two.

The thing I love about this razor is the handle. It is a bit rubbery and squishy and easy to control.

Another great thing is that it comes with a wall mount. It worked great in my bath tub but not so great on the texturized walls of my shower.

I'm not too keen on the scent. It smells like a vanilla musk to me. It brought to mind the smell of The Body Shop's vanilla spice that was available at Christmas time. I'm sure many people would love the scent. It's not something that would keep me from purchasing, just not something that I'd seek out.

It is nice to not have to use a soap or shave cream when shaving. You just wet the product and start to shave. However, the added thickness of the strips made it a little less smooth going when it came to my curves.

Although the razor did it's job, I don't know that I will be repurchasing. It hasn't wow'ed me.

Kiss Nail Dress -Keeps It Simple and Stylish

I'm an Influenster and had the great opportunity to try Kiss Nail Dress recently. Kiss Nail Dress is said to be "Fashion That Sticks" and it sticks well. They are stickers that act as nail polish. The steps are easy: 1. Clean your nail 2. Pick a sticker that fits your finger 3. Stick it on and rub it flat  4. File the tip and remove the excess (file included in the package)

It really was simple. I feel that cleaning the nails so the stickers will really hold is the key factor to making these work. I'm a person that washes her hands frequently and Nail Dress stayed on my hands for 5 days.

I did have a little difficulty in getting the tips smooth. The stickers are a bit thicker and less flexible than I'd like. But this challenge was easily dealt with as long as I took the time to carefully smooth and file small sections at a time.

The best part for me as a mom is that I could apply these to my 5 year old in a hurry. No waiting for dry nails. She even wore her Nail Dress stickers for 3 days.

As for the scent of Nail Dress, it's not pleasant. There's a nail polish type fume that comes from these when I opened the package, but it wasn't enough to become concerned. The scent was gone before I even started to apply to my tips!

Witch (or is that which) One??

We're gearing up for Halloween! My daughter has decided to be a witch with a pink hat. Ok, so it doesn't look pink. But, what you can't see is that there is pink sparkle all over the top.

While working on makeup (why yes, that is my Mac Lucky Green eye shadow all over her face) I pondered the scent of a witch. Would she smell airy?  After all, she does fly on a broom. Would she smell of aquatic? She often uses potions and frogs, right? We must investigate further!

So tell me, what scent would you expect when you walk past a witch?

Soda!

BzzAgent is currently giving a select few the chance to be in a campaign for the Sodastream Fountain Jet Soda Maker Kit. It instantly brought me back to the smell of Dr. Pepper. Mmmm, that lovely sweet, cherry and vanilla and...what's in that stuff anyway?
I know one thing that's in it and that's caffeine. Sure they have their decaf variety as well but it just does not taste the same. I've been caffeine free for years, more than 10, due to a heart condition. I do have the availability of drinks such as Sprite or "strawberry" sodas, but I want, no I need MORE! I need some great true to life, lively soda.
This is where the Sodastream could create a whole new fizzy world for me! The ideas are limitless. On the website they have sparkling tea, naturals and SO much more. An added plus to the deal is my 4 year old daughter is growing up without caffiene too. Can you just see it? The Sodastream following her into adulthood? (Maybe we can turn other moms into Sodastream lovers and take over the world? Bwahahaha!)
Please dear BzzAgent! Won't you turn this boring lemon lime life into one of drink eutopia?
